Standing with Adeline: stomach cancer treatment costs
Adeline is facing stomach cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Adeline was diagnosed with stomach cancer in August. The oncology team at Coventry University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Adeline is 37, worked as a taxi driver until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Coventry University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,100 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,700
• Scans and lab work: $680
• Transport to Coventry University Hospital: $430
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $590
• Household costs while unable to work: $700
