Adaeze was diagnosed with colon cancer in January. The oncology team at Kano University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Adaeze is 46, worked as a tailor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Kano University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $750 • Transport to Kano University Hospital: $105 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $45 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Kunle
