St. Petersburg winter storm relief - the Sunrise district
The winter storm damaged 41 homes in the Sunrise district. We are raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The winter storm hit the Sunrise district on 28 August. My home was one of 41 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,300 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,450
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,100
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,050
• Clean water and purification supplies: $700
Thanks for reading all this.

good luck, Grace. More neighborhoods should do this. Take care.
gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Spanish Town.
