Sophia was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. The oncology team at Duisburg Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Sophia is 34, worked as a farmer until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Duisburg Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $2,600 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $620 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,400 • Transport to Duisburg Cancer Centre: $580 Thank you for reading my story. - Anton
