Shinjuku flood relief - the families of Hillcrest Lane
Neighbors in the families of Hillcrest Lane are rebuilding after the flood; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The flood hit the families of Hillcrest Lane on 5 December. My home was one of 24 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,500 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $2,950
• Clean water and purification supplies: $670
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $660
• Food parcels for displaced families: $650
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,570
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Take care, Tamaki. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
