Septoplasty for Musa: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled septoplasty in November is out of reach without help covering $600 of the cost.

Musa was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in August. The surgeon at Abuja Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $600 short.
my father has been in and out of Abuja Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Musa struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Musa won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
