José earned a place in Grade 9 at the San Diego Selective School; we're $500 short on required supplies.

José earned a place in Grade 9 at the San Diego Selective School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things He needs, including a laptop for the chemistry course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $500, which is more than they have.
José loves chemistry and wants to become a software developer. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
He will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $500 goes:
• School uniform and shoes: $165
• Textbooks and workbooks: $260
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $75
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
