School supplies and a laptop for Hlengiwe in Pretoria
Hlengiwe won a place at Pretoria International School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.
🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa1,409 views
Hlengiwe earned a place in Grade 9 at Pretoria International School, and the family couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things She needs, including a laptop for the robotics course, and a uniform.
The family has few resources; the list costs $215, which is more than they have.
Hlengiwe loves robotics and wants to become a marine biologist. A laptop will allow coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
She will take care of everything given and works very hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $215 goes:
• Laptop: $110
• School uniform and shoes: $35
• Textbooks and workbooks: $65
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $5
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Swansea donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Pretoria.
what's already covered and what's the $215 for?
Laptop is $110 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Let me know if you want more detail.
sending strength, Lwazi. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Pretoria.
so sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings!
