Save Rocky: Santiago can't afford the emergency vet
Rocky, Santiago's dog, needs urgent treatment for a foreign object blocking the intestines costing $1,400.
🇺🇸 United States880 views
Rocky is my dog of eleven years. On 21 January we rushed to the Oakland Emergency Vet Clinic with a foreign object blocking the intestines. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,400.
They have stabilized Rocky, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Rocky is more than a pet - Rocky is the reason I get out of bed. I have already put $250 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Oakland Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Medication and follow-up visits: $145
• Emergency surgery: $1,050
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $205
If you're reading this, thank you.
