Save Rocky: Christian can't afford the emergency vet
A rescue greyhound named Rocky needs emergency surgery - a $2,150 bill the family can't cover.

Rocky is my rescue greyhound of thirteen years. On 13 April we rushed to Oakland Animal Hospital with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,150.
They have stabilized Rocky, but the treatment can't wait beyond July.
Rocky is more than a pet - Rocky is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $185 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Oakland Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,200
• Hospitalization (3 nights): $460
• Medication and follow-up visits: $320
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $170
