Save Oscar: Irene can't afford the emergency vet
A dog named Oscar needs a hospital stay and surgery - a $1,550 bill the family can't cover.

Oscar is my dog of six years. On 28 February we rushed to the Valencia Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,550.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond May.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $70 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Valencia Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Oscar's recovery.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $890
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $300
• Medication and follow-up visits: $160
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $200
