Juno is my three-legged dog of thirteen years. On 1 February we rushed to the Ottawa Emergency Vet Clinic with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $1,000. They have stabilized Juno, but the treatment can't wait beyond April. Juno is more than a pet - Juno walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $220 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the Ottawa Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals. Where the $1,000 goes: • Medication and follow-up visits: $130 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $610 • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $260 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Updates from Nathalie

  1. Small update. $256 so far, I made the first payment toward diagnostics.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 20% now ($201). I'm honestly stunned. we've booked the dates and paid the deposit.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($156 in total) I made the first payment toward hospitalization. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
