Save Buddy: Lydia can't afford the emergency vet
A dog named Buddy needs an operation to remove the blockage - a $2,500 bill the family can't cover.

Buddy is my dog of eleven years. On 21 July we rushed to Southampton Animal Hospital with bloat. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $2,500.
They have stabilized Buddy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Buddy is more than a pet - Buddy walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $260 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Southampton Animal Hospital and I'll share the invoice and an update on Buddy's recovery.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,650
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $420
• Medication and follow-up visits: $310
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $120
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
Updates from Lydia
Good news. Because of your gifts ($2,074 in total) I met with the vet clinic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Update from Southampton: I made the first payment toward emergency surgery. We're at 54% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Thank you all. We're at 17% now ($416). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
Hope the recovery goes smoothly. My neighbor in Chattogram donated after I showed her your page. Take care!
wishing you the best. We've got a rescue too so I know how much they mean. Put this on a community board in Kitakyushu this morning. Thinking of Southampton.
