Save Archie: Graciela can't afford the emergency vet

Archie is my German shepherd of two years. On 4 February we rushed to San Diego Veterinary Centre with pyometra. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $1,800.
They have stabilized Archie, but the treatment can't wait beyond April.
Archie is more than a pet - Archie walks my kids to the bus stop every morning. I have already put $100 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to San Diego Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Archie's recovery.

• Emergency surgery: $1,350
• Medication and follow-up visits: $270
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $180

what exactly is the $1,800 for?
