Kobe

For fifteen years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Kobe. In June, a fire in the building took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,300 goes: • Initial stock: spare parts: $430 • Shop repairs and licensing: $320 • Replacing a full set of tools: $1,550 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Sakura

Updates from Sakura

Update from Kobe: the plan for shop repairs and licensing is now scheduled. We're at 18% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
Quick update: $131 raised so far (6%). I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($110). I'm honestly stunned. we've started the first stage.
