Saima is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Lahore Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Saima can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Saima has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Saima would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Saima isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Lahore Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $260
• Final term tuition: $130
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $20
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

praying for you, Zara. I hope things turn around soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. After 18 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Wishing you the best, Zara. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'll check back for the next update.
