Rukhsar is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a computer science degree at Lahore Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400. The registrar has said Rukhsar can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rukhsar has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rukhsar would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Rukhsar isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Lahore Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $400 goes: • Final term tuition: $135 • Outstanding tuition balance: $195 • Textbooks and materials: $70 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
