Montego Bay
Rohan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Montego Bay Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,400. The registrar has said Rohan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rohan has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rohan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Rohan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Montego Bay Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,400 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $40 • Final term tuition: $580 • Outstanding tuition balance: $780 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
