Rohan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at the Liverpool Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,800.
The registrar has said Rohan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rohan has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rohan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Rohan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
