Rebuilding after the flood: the Greenfield neighborhood needs your help
After the flood, families in the Greenfield neighborhood need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The flood hit the Greenfield neighborhood on 1 July. My home was one of 84 damaged, and 2 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $310
• Clean water and purification supplies: $320
• Food parcels for displaced families: $500
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $370

Sure. The biggest one is tools and labor for repairs, $310. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
