Rashid lost two washing machines and a dryer to the demolition of the market and needs $3,100 to reopen a laundry service and support the family.

For three years I have run a laundry service in Metz. In June, the demolition of the market took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $3,100 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $1,600
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $650
• Shop repairs and licensing: $400
• Working capital for the first month: $450
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Dar es Salaam so I could bring a meal.
can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Metz.
Keep going, Rashid. Hope you make a strong comeback. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Poznań.
thanks for sharing this, Rashid. Hope this works out for you. After 28 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
keep going, Rashid. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
