Poppy is my dog of six years. On 24 August we rushed to Cardiff Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends an operation to remove the blockage, and the estimate came to $800. They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond November. Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $195 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Cardiff Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals. Where the $800 goes: • Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $105 • Medication and follow-up visits: $85 • Hospitalization (2 nights): $610 Thank you so much.

Updates from Kamal

  1. Update from Cardiff: the first invoice got paid this week. We're at 7% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($53 in total) the plan for medication and follow-up visits is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Kamal

  3. Small update. $33 so far, I made the first payment toward medication and follow-up visits.

  • Hang in there, Kamal. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Lalitpur so I could bring a meal. All the best.
