Pioneer Park needs a youth football pitch - Howard's neighborhood project

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a youth football pitch. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,550. It will serve about 549 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,550 goes: • Materials: $1,700 • Permits and inspections: $180 • Safety equipment and signage: $290 • Tools hire and delivery: $380 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
