Paulo is facing non-Hodgkin lymphoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In November I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. My oncology team at Olinda Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in December. I was told to expect about 5 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 39, I worked as a primary school teacher until November, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Olinda Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Transport to Olinda Cancer Centre: $210
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $270
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450
• Household costs while unable to work: $670

Quick update: $636 raised so far (24%). I made the first payment toward chemotherapy and medication not covered. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
