Kirana was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in June. The surgeon at Jakarta Barat Community Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my mother has been in and out of Jakarta Barat Community Hospital since June. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kirana struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Kirana won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
