Paisley's stage 2 breast cancer treatment fund
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Bakersfield Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Paisley was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in May. The oncology team at Bakersfield Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Paisley is 44, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bakersfield Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $7,900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,300
• Scans and lab work: $1,500
• Transport to Bakersfield Cancer Centre: $600
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $750
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,750

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. chemotherapy and medication not covered comes first ($3,300) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Happy to explain more.
