Vera is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at the Kyiv Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,250. The registrar has said Vera can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Vera has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Vera would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Vera isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Kyiv Institute of Technology bursar's office.
