Themba is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Johannesburg Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,050. The registrar has said Themba can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Themba has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Themba would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Themba isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Johannesburg Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,050 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $320 • Final term tuition: $660 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $40 Every share and every dollar helps.
