Lowell
Sarah is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Lowell Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,500. The registrar has said Sarah can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sarah has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sarah would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Sarah isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Lowell Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $5,500 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,950 • Final term tuition: $2,100 • Exam and lab fees: $160 • Textbooks and materials: $290 Thank you for reading my story.
