One semester away: help Rakib graduate from Gazipur Community College
A first-generation student, Rakib needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Gazipur Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $600.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Gazipur Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $600 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $40
• Final term tuition: $200
• Outstanding tuition balance: $360
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Rakib?
take care, Rakib. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Gazipur!
Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. Put this on a community board in Dublin this morning. All the best
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Grenoble.
