Paloma is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at Spokane University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,750. The registrar has said Paloma can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Paloma has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Paloma would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Paloma isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Spokane University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
