One semester away: help Otieno graduate from Thika State College
Otieno has worked and saved for three years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $700 gap now stands between him and graduation.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a degree in civil engineering at Thika State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a distinction average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Thika State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $290
• Final term tuition: $310
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Textbooks and materials: $50
I hope life is good to you.

Updates from Otieno
Good news. Because of your gifts ($500 in total) I made the first payment toward textbooks and materials. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
