Marisol is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at Iztapalapa Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000.
The registrar has said Marisol can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Marisol has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Marisol would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Marisol isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Iztapalapa Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Final term tuition: $600
• Outstanding tuition balance: $310
• Textbooks and materials: $90
I hope life is good to you.

Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Irapuato so I could bring a meal. Love from Hubballi.
Hang in there, Alberto. This could happen to any of us. I hope November is when things finally get easier. All the best.
hope things get better soon, Alberto. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Houston
