Kumara has worked and saved for five years to study a teaching qualification; a $650 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Kumara is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Galle University, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $650.
The registrar has said Kumara can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kumara has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kumara would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Kumara isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Galle University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $650 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $320
• Final term tuition: $210
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Textbooks and materials: $70

Hope it all works out, Indika. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Kumara?
Thank you. If you're in Galle I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. I'll keep the page updated.
Good luck, Indika. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Galle but we're thinking of you. Take care.
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Southern. I'll ask around and let you know
