One semester away: help Heather graduate from Los Angeles Community College

Heather is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a teaching qualification at Los Angeles Community College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,550. The registrar has said Heather can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Heather has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Heather would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Heather isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $5,550 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,450 • Textbooks and materials: $410 • Final term tuition: $2,690 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Emily
