Filippo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at the Rome Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,500.
The registrar has said Filippo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Filippo has a distinction average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Filippo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Filippo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
