Badagry
Femi is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at the Badagry Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has said Femi can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Femi has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Femi would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Femi isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Badagry Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $270 • Final term tuition: $470 • Exam and lab fees: $20 • Textbooks and materials: $40 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
