I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Salem University, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a barista to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $455.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Salem University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $455 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $430
• Textbooks and materials: $20
• Exam and lab fees: $5
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thanks for sharing this. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. I have a 5 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless
you're not alone, Bhavani. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Southampton
