Alexander is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at the Orlando Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,000. The registrar has said Alexander can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Alexander has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Alexander would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Alexander isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Orlando Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $3,000 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,100 • Final term tuition: $1,400 • Exam and lab fees: $175 • Textbooks and materials: $325 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
