Omolara is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Epe University, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Omolara can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Omolara has a 3.9 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Omolara would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Omolara isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Epe University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $370
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $40
Thank you so much.
