Nomsa needs my taxi repaired to get back to work in Johannesburg
Without my taxi Nomsa cannot work; a $500 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 10 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $500 goes:
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $320
• Labor charges: $85
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $65
• Towing and inspection: $30
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

sending love, Nomsa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Sacramento this morning. God bless.
Rooting for you. Hope the shop reopens soon. I'll check back for the next update. All the best.
