Nolan's final semester of a degree in civil engineering in Oakland
Nolan has worked and saved for three years to study a degree in civil engineering; a $5,650 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Nolan is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Oakland University, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,650.
The registrar has said Nolan can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Nolan has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Nolan would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Nolan isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Oakland University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Exam and lab fees: $115
