Njoroge's acute lymphoblastic leukemia treatment fund
Njoroge is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇰🇪 Kenya91 views
Njoroge was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in June. The oncology team at Nairobi University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Njoroge is 49, worked as a bus conductor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Nairobi University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $550
• Household costs while unable to work: $185
• Transport to Nairobi University Hospital: $165
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
