Nicholas needs my food truck repaired to get back to work in Laredo
Without my food truck Nicholas can't work; a $1,600 repair would put him back on the road.
🇺🇸 Laredo, Texas, United States1,876 views
I make my living with my food truck. 3 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,600. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• suspension replacement (parts): $1,050
• Labor charges: $380
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $130
• Towing and inspection: $40
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Thank you all. We're at 45% now ($723). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward towing and inspection.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($664 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Nicholas
Quick update: $379 raised so far (24%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
