My tuk-tuk: Wendy's only way to earn a living
Wendy drives for a living in Houston, and a broken transmission has stopped all income for 6 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,900. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $1,250
• Labor charges: $330
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $170
• Towing and inspection: $150
