My taxi: Hala's only way to earn a living
Without my taxi Hala can't work; a $1,150 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my taxi. 8 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $760
• Labor charges: $105
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $165
• Towing and inspection: $120

Hang in there. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best!
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Los Angeles so I could bring a meal. Take care!
Hang in there, Hala. Hope this works out for you. My husband and I read this together. Blessings!
Sending strength, Hala. Small businesses are the heart of Mecca. Hope you're open again soon. I'll check back for the next update.
Take care, Hala. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best.
Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. I have a 14 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Mecca
