My ride-share car: Isuru's only way to earn a living
Without my ride-share car Isuru can't work; a $255 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my ride-share car. 5 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $255. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $255 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $155
• Labor charges: $55
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Towing and inspection: $5
I hope life is good to you.

Sending love, Isuru. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Ciudad de México!
