My pickup: Isabel's only way to earn a living
Without my pickup Isabel can't work; a $500 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 7 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $500. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $500 goes:
• fuel pump replacement (parts): $340
• Labor charges: $35
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $100
• Towing and inspection: $25
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of La Plata
So sorry you're going through this. Small businesses are the heart of La Plata. Hope you're open again soon. My neighbor in Prayagraj donated after I showed her your page. Love from Prayagraj.
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 36 people at work. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family. Shared it with a few friends. After 16 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings
Hope things get better soon, Isabel. Looking forward to the next update. It's not much but it's yours.
