My food truck: Umesh's only way to earn a living
Without my food truck Umesh can't work; a $250 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 5 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $250 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $35
• suspension replacement (parts): $160
• Labor charges: $55
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
Updates from Umesh
Small update. $182 so far, I made the first payment toward road tax and insurance renewal.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($169 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
