My food truck: Juan's only way to earn a living
Juan drives for a living in Coyoacán, and a broken gearbox has stopped all income for 5 weeks.

I make my living with my food truck. 5 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $550. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $550 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $85
• gearbox replacement (parts): $360
• Labor charges: $105
Thank you so much.
